It's Like Rain

I was exploring for ideas for this album, Lovelution, and was looking through various charts and words from friends that I had played with.
I saw this stanza that really struck me as beautiful, and I was sure it was from a friend I had just been rehearsing with. I thought "this is beautiful, I will write lyrical verses for this and surprise him with it."

So I surprised him, and to my surprise, he said "that's not mine."
Eventually I discovered this was from the first time I had played with David Newman and also did not realize it was only the chorus of a full song that he had written. So, now there are two songs with this name, and this one is partially mine. I was a bit nervous about it, but sent David a copy of it after I finished it and as it turns out, he likes it :-) I hope you do too.
