about

I've spent about 10 years now focusing on supporting yoga with my music in various ways. I was initially inspired by the art of kirtan, or devotional chant, by happening into a weekend workshop with Jai Uttal as I delivered a speaker system for a friend. We talked a bit and I got the invite to come back and play. I played the whole weekend!

The magic of the chant was instant love for me. I had also been developing as a singer/songwriter for quite a few years before that. It's quite natural for me to combine these two forms, and I feel it can make kirtan chanting a bit more accessible to the general public and yogis in the western culture who are new to this form of music.

I hope you enjoy it immensely and derive inspiration from the experience. Much love and blessings on your path of learning and experience on this earth.

Track Name: Saturn & Venus : Sambasada
Saturn and Venus,
they come in between us
and we hardly know which way to go.
And the fullness of the moon
seems to COME way to soon again
– again and again.

But it comes around
it always comes around – again.
You'll want to learn to love
all the ups and downs.
Because they always come around
– they always come around.

Samba Sada, Shiva Om, Shiva Om

This mind - is like a museum
and a frantic freeway car
with artifacts on pedestals
you can only go so far…
So come to the middle
and be here now.

Samba Sada, Shiva Om, Shiva Om...
Hare hare, Shankara, Hare hare, Shankara
Shiva Om

I'm planning on falling in love
with the way this world turns.
Falling with the flow, sometimes you know
it freezes and it burns.

The Pacha Mama dances with a rhythm
and a music all her own.
The melody she sings will take you high
down to the low.

Samba Sada, Shiva Om, Shiva Om...
Track Name: Rise On Up : Jai Ganesha
Gam Ga-na-pa-taye, Namo Namah

Longing for an opening
We're hoping for a doorway open wide
Often we're the obstacle that needs to be removed
from our life.

Isn't it ironic how the problem and solution
are often the same?
Two sides of the same coin
Like light creates a shadow,
No one to blame.

Jai Ganesha, Jai Ganesha
Ganapati Om, Jaya Ganapati Om

Van-it-y, Selfishness, pride
All those little places that we hide
/Sometimes we're afraid like the tiny shrew -
But we can rise on up to elephant size
and show what we can do

Gam Ga-na-pa-taye, Namo Namah
Track Name: Give It Away : Aham Prema
Give it away,
give it away,
 give it away,
 Just give it away

One thing’s for sure,
the rule is set,
the more you give
 the more you get.

Give it away,
give it away,
 give it away,
Just give it away...

Ahum Prema
Track Name: In Love Again : Om Sri Rama
Realize - you've got your freedom
to fantasize your dream
When I travel to that favorite place of mine I'm in love
I'm in Love - out on the sea.

Om Sri Rama jaya Rama
Jaya Jaya, Rama

I stepped on a ship and sailed out to sea
I drink of this Bhakti, it's like nectar to me…
I settle on down, and I drop on in
I'm in love, in love again.

in love again -- in love again.
I'm in love, in love again.

Sometime we all gonna be stuck in the dark of night and - lose our way
Sometime we might just steer the ship wrong and - run aground.
But you can fix up that boat - clean it up/ set it back on the - Holy course
Listen to you your heart and hear the sound.

Rama Rama, Rama Rama, Rama Rama, Rama Rama

I stepped on a ship - and sailed out to sea
I drink of this Bhakti, it's like nectar to me…
I settle on down, and I drop on in
I'm in love, in love again.

in love again -- in love again.

Om Sri Rama jaya Rama
Jaya jaya, Rama
Track Name: Just Mirrors : Om Namah Shivaya
Om Namah Shivaya, Om Namah Shivaya

You are me, I am you; This is what we came to do.
If you think there’s something new, then look inside today.
We’re just mirrors. We’re just mirrors.

You GIVE love it's not something you find
We might as well be having a - really good time.
We’re making it work by learning to play
All we need is being in love today.

Om Namah Shivaya, Om Namah Shivaya

Everything is beautiful, everything is fine
All I see is beauty now, ‘cause Beauty’s in the mind.

Om Namah Shivaya, Om Namah Shivaya

Everything is beautiful, everything is fine
All I see is beauty now, ‘cause Beauty’s in the mind.

Om Namah Shivaya, Om Namah Shivaya
Track Name: Free Me : Om Gum Ganapataye
Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha

Free me from the barriers in my mind
Free me from anger in my soul
Hear me as I'm knocking at your door
Lead me on my way home

Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha
Track Name: Enemies & Friends : Om Mata, Om Kali
Love makes the bitter taste sweet.
turns copper to gold.
Visit the sick, heal yourself,
may you never grow old.

I opened my chest / showed her my scars
like Hanuman I Leap for love and live among the stars
Look at Love...how it tangles with the one who's fallen
bystanders innocent, can't even hear the calling.

Om Mata, Om Kali

There is a candle in your heart,
waiting to be kindled.

a void in your soul,
ready to be filled.

Tthen there's spirit - ONE with the earth
heart and tongue, deaf and dumb
water, fire, dirt and wind,
wolf and lamb, enemies and friends
enemies and friends

Om Mata, Om Kali
Durga Devi Namo Namah

Kali Ma, Kali Ma

spring and winter,
earth and the sky
mingle together,
sometimes they fight

sweet and silent or
loud and brave
step out and smell the roses
or hide inside a cave

enemies and friends

Om Mata, Om Kali
Track Name: You Open Me : Sita Ram
Sita Ram Sita Ram Sita Ram Sita Ram Sita Ram

So sublime, this meeting, you and I
So beautiful, that sparkle in your eye
Your thoughts, they’re audible to me...
When you speak them it’s just
more reason - to believe:

I see you, you see me

makes me realize how rare and wonderful is this scene!
I treasure this moment, however long
It’s teaching me maybe I don’t need to be SO strong.

You Open Me, You Open Me
You Open Me, You Open Me

Sita Ram Sita Ram Sita Ram Sita Ram Sita Ram

I love that you are a being, magically
It’s so lonely sometimes, being me
Being me, or anyone else, you see.

It’s what we all wish for - and NEED!
So precious, this moment, to be seen.
Devastating-ly beautiful; Humanity.

You Open Me, You Open Me
You Open Me, You Open Me

Sita Ram Sita Ram Sita Ram Sita Ram
